Conference “Active, employment without exclusions”

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3, was declared in 1992 by the General Assembly of the United Nations. The aim is to promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, as well as to raise awareness of their situation in all aspects of political, social, economic and cultural life.

On the occasion of World Disability Day, the Inclusion Week has been organized from the town where our main headquarters are located, Monzón.

Within the wide range of activities that complete the program, last Monday, November 28, Defeder participated in a conference, which, together with the Monzón City Council and the Hotel MasMonzón, gave testimonies to other local companies on how the inclusion of people with disabilities in the world of work.

Daniel, who made the leap into the professional world last February after he had passed through the Insertare Special Employment Center and the Nazareth de Binéfar Occupational Center, was very proud and happy about his current situation. During his speech, he alluded to the promotion of camaraderie, respect, teamwork, happiness… and it is that for Defeder the social integration of people with disabilities is a constitutional right. The incorporation into the labor market of this group is an outstanding factor to achieve their full integration.

Therefore, it is essential for the organization to reach agreements with other companies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to give everyone a job opportunity and that is why we encourage other companies to follow in our footsteps.
