Defeder actively contributes to complying with the European Green Deal

At Defeder we have always followed a strategy of circular economy and caring for the environment. In 2030, according to European Union regulations, 25% of arable land must be with organic fertilizer. Currently, only 8.5% is area sown with organic fertilizer in Europe, and the challenge is for that 25% to be met by 2030.

Spain has entered the third position of the countries with the largest ecological surface in the world, with 2.4 million hectares, behind Australia and Argentina. For this reason, the contribution of Defeder to be able to comply with the European Green Pact is fundamental since we are a company specialized in the development of 100% ecological and eco-viable products for agriculture, producing 80,000 tons of product last year, increasing this each year. amount by 30%.

The year 2021 is still critical due to the situation we are experiencing, however, the activity of Defeder has not diminished. We consider it vitally important to join forces among all the companies in the organic sector in order to achieve the objective.
